Card-processing fees

Card payments cost roughly 2.9% + 30¢, taken out of what you receive. Bank transfers (ACH) cost far less — about 0.8%, capped at $5.

Absorb the fees — every payment method pays the same price. (Default)Offer a cash discount — your posted prices are card prices; customers paying by bank transfer, cash, or check pay less. The terms are shown on every quote and invoice.

Sales tax

Collect sales tax on my invoices — calculated automatically with Stripe Tax and added to each invoice.

It’s your tax to collect and remit — your customers pay you directly, so you’re the seller of record. We calculate it and add it to each invoice, but don’t file or remit for you. Tell us where you collect — add your states/regions under Stripe Tax → Registrations in your Stripe dashboard; we can only calculate where you’re registered. Not sure if or where you need to collect? Ask your accountant — we can’t give tax advice.

Connect your Stripe account first (Settings → Payments setup), then set up Stripe Tax to enable this.

Time on client documents

Show minutes on invoices built from pricing — e.g. “CAD / Design (120 min)” instead of just “CAD / Design”.

Off keeps your lines fixed-price: minutes next to an amount let a customer work out your hourly rate. When on, documents show the minutes you billed (rounded to your minimum increment), so the visible math always checks out. You can override this on each quote when you finalize it.
